Col. Hector Perez-Lebron, 90, of Mayaguez, Puerto Rico, passed away on February 3, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Norma Iris Perez.
Col. Perez-Lebron proudly served his country around the world for 35 years, including service during the Vietnam War. He received numerous accolades throughout his distinguished career, including the Legion of Merit and the Bronze Star.
Following his military service, he became Associate Dean at Vincennes University, where he inspired and mentored many students.
A devoted Catholic, Hector was a man of deep faith whose life reflected his strong commitment to the Church and service to others.
In retirement, he volunteered with many charitable organizations, helping raise funds for SADCO, Cystic Fibrosis research, and scholarship programs for underprivileged children through Kiwanis International.
He spent his later years between Boston and Indianapolis, enjoying time with his family and cheering on the Indiana Pacers and Indianapolis Colts.
He is survived by his children, Hector Anthony Perez (Tony), Noris Mary Perez, Francisco Javier Perez, and Claris Cecilia MacDonald and her husband, Robert Paul MacDonald; and his grandchildren, James Robert MacDonald and John Hector MacDonald.
He will be remembered for his integrity, faith, dedication to service, and respect for others.

El Coronel Héctor Pérez-Lebrón, de 90 años, de Mayagüez Puerto Rico, falleció el 3 de febrero de 2026.
Le precede en la muerte su amada esposa, Norma Iris Pérez.
El Coronel Pérez-Lebrón sirvió con orgullo a su país alrededor del mundo durante 35 años, incluyendo servicio en la Guerra de Vietnam. Recibió numerosos reconocimientos a lo largo de su distinguida carrera, entre ellos la Legión al Mérito y la Estrella de Bronce.
Luego de su servicio militar, se desempeñó como Decano Asociado en la Universidad de Vincennes, donde inspiró y orientó a muchos estudiantes.
Católico devoto, Héctor fue un hombre de profunda fe cuya vida reflejó su firme compromiso con la Iglesia y con el servicio a los demás.
Durante su retiro, colaboró con numerosas organizaciones benéficas, ayudando a recaudar fondos para SADCO, la investigación de la Fibrosis Quística y programas de becas para niños de escasos recursos a través de Kiwanis International.

Será recordado por su integridad, su fé, su dedicación al servicio y su respeto hacia los demás.
